That was a first, and that and that and that

Labor day was a day of firsts for us. We went to the gym and for the first time the daycare was closed so that didn't work out. After that we had a fun afternoon planned and headed to Hood River to drive and visit farms along the fruit loop. We went the back way up the mountain. We picked apples for the first time, pet and fed alpacas, Jack ate bbq pulled pork sandwich for the first time, davis swung from a tire swing, stood in a huge field of heavenly smelling lavender while watching my husband play jail by putting our two kids in a large fruit crate and them loving it, then heading back up the mountain where we headed up to timberline lodge for the first time.

Davis wanted to hike to the top, fortunately I was wearing my well loved flip flops and my feet were not up for the rocky climb. We did hike a good ways and that satisfied Davis for the time being. He loved the snow, and wanted to ride up the chair lift to go skiing. We had such a magical fun day of firsts and being all together before school, seminary and other things all start.
