if you have a frowny face, turn it upside down!

We went to the Philip Foster farm on Saturday so Evan could cover a dutch oven cook off for the paper. Davis and I walked around the interactive farm while evan worked. It was a lot of fun to see the farm with the historic buildings and all the activities keep the kids involved. Davis loved the black smith. You could saw off a 1 inch section of a log with an old time saw. The black smith was so nice and showed davis how he started his fire with flint and steel. There was a nine year old helping the black smith out and actually gave Davis one of his round log pieces and branded a happy face on both sides for him. The one on the other side has a tongue sticking out on it. Davis nick named him "loggie". Davis wrapped him in his blankie at home and put him on his shelf.
